Awareness cum Training Program on Atmospheric Pollution and its Health Issues
A team of Scientist from Environment and Sustainability various pollutants in ambient air, their sources and health
Department conducted “Awareness cum Training Program impacts to the students. Visual presentations were made
on Atmospheric Pollution and its Health Issues” for where the students could see videos that explained about
Grades 9-10 students in the Zilla School at Jajpur on 16 air pollution and its consequences on climate and health
Nov. 2021. This workshop was conducted to observe along with the various research activities conducted
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav that is being celebrated across at CSIR-IMMT to study the characteristics of various
the country. Around 100 young students participated in ambient air pollutants. This was an interactive session
this workshop which was inaugurated in the Zilla School and the students participated with lot of enthusiasm.

Documentation and conservation techniques of medicinal plants useful to mitigate
covid-19 Pandemic
A two parts skill development programme titled The second event was conducted at Pattamundai
“Documentation and Conservation Techniques of College, Kendrapara on 4 March 2022 where 43 students
medicinal plants useful to mitigate covid-19 Pandemic” was participated. Basic techniques of plant collection,
conducted by the Environment and Sustainability Dept. to identification and preservation was demonstrated to the
BSc students. The first event was conducted at Sri Jayadev participants. Dr. NK. Dhal and Dr. N.C. Rout from IMMT
College of Education and Technology, Bhubaneswar on Bhubaneswar conducted the programme.
6 January 2022 where 35 Science students participated.
